JUST A PERFECT MATCH FOR WINE AND FOOD LOVERS!
Starting from her academic studies, Andriana holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the ARISTOTLE UNIVERSITY OF THESSALONIKI, GREECE.
Andriana, a native of Peloponnese grew up in a viticulture region surrounded by wine producers and vineyards. As long as, she remembers herself, her parents made wine drinking a dinnertime ritual, instilling in her not only a great appreciation for flavors and aromas but also the bug of wine and local cuisine culture. When she looks back, she remembers saying that ‘If I weren’t a scientist I’d be… a food and wine connoisseur who travels around the world sampling different wines and ethnic cuisines’.
Being always an anxious spirit and open to challenges, after a long and successful career in her field, she decides to take a big step forward switching into another industry which had been intriguing her since childhood.
Her first milestone was achieved when she goes to Paris and enrolls in ALAIN DUCASSE cooking school studying the Art of Cooking, adjusting later on her know-how and technics in several kitchens in prestigious Parisian restaurants.
Next milestone was to initiate herself into the exploration of the “magical” world of Greek wine and joins an educational program at WSET gaining a high level of knowledge of the full range of Greek wines and the certification of WSET L3, WSET Diploma (Cand.) and WSPC HESTIA Advanced. With multiple certified specialized seminars in the wine industry under her belt, Andriana felt even more confident that she had made the right choice. She travels all around the world to experience the wine cultures and trends and indulges herself into the Greek wineries, regions, grape varieties and wines.
Her last milestone was the transformation of her initiative dream into action through the establishment of THE WINE CONNOISSEURS, an exquisite Greek Wine Tourism company, that was created in order for her to have the chance to share the intimate knowledge of Greek wine and its culture with the wine professionals and ordinary wine lovers of the world and steer them into an experience of discovery and exploration of the fascinating world of Greek wine culture.
