One of the most common Easter traditions is the painting of red eggs on Holy Thursday, a pre-Christian symbol of life. It symbolizes the Holy Blood of Christ’s Sacrifice.   

 The red egg represents the hermetically sealed tomb of Christ, like the shell of egg, and the donation of the Resurrection to Christendom, when Christ came out of it .
